Adobe Illustrator
  1. Locate hang tag AI file
    • bentex-fs2 server > Licensing > BRANDING
  2. Open file in Adobe Illustrator
  3. Open Layers > Select layers for export > Collect for export
    • Note: layers can be merged or removed beforehand if needed
  4. Select assets and export
    • Export Settings:
      • Resolution: Scale: 300 ppi
      • Format: PNG
  5. Export > Select folder

Adobe InDesign


When duplex printing with the Canon Pixma iX6820, the back side will be printed an extra 1/16" to the right, making the front and back misaligned. This is due to the 1/16" distance of the rolls in the printer.


In order to align both sides, you would need to move the back image the distance that is not aligned.


1. Open InDesign

  • Note: See attachment for Document Setup


2. File > Place > Choose front side of hang tag

  • (Tip: copy paste HT on Page 1 multiple times to save paper)


3. Select hang tag image(s) 

  • Note: To select multiple - click one, shift + click other one


4. Edit > Copy


5. Scroll to Page 2 and click on page


6. Edit > Paste in Place

  • Note: You are pasting the SAME image(s) temporarily


7. On Page 2, select one of the images

  • Note: If you are working with two images on Page 2, do NOT select both


8. File > Place > Open File > OK

  • Note:  If you are working with two images, repeat Step 6 for other image
  • Tip: If you are opening a PDF, check "Show Import Options" > Open File > Select Page 2


9. Zoom in to righthand side of hang tag


10. Rectangle tool > Select black for inside and outside, double-click on screen, enter 1/16 (0.0625 in) for width and height


11. Selection Tool > Move box to rightmost edge of hang tag

  • Note: Ensure that it locks into place


12. Drag ruler (located on leftmost side of screen) to be right after the box


13. Delete the box

  • Note: The box was a temporary placeholder to direct you where to place the ruler


14. Zoom Out


15. Select image(s) > Shift + move image(s) on Page 2 to ruler line


16. File > Export (Adobe PDF Print) > Save > Export
