Fixing Orphaned SKUs (with Amz Issues Sheet)
Step 1: Determine orphaned SKU(s): Search SKU in Manage Inventory and see if it is linked to the variation page. If not, confirm that ASINs are consistent among all versions of the SKU (i.e. FBM, SFP, FBA, FNK).
Step 2a: Open template of orphaned SKU(s) and confirm that all children of variation family are present. If they’re not, combine children from all related template(s) and delete outstanding template(s).
Step 2b: Add all available SKU versions for the color that is orphaned.
- For FBA SKUs: fulfillment_center_id = AMAZON_NA | batteries_required = FALSE | supplier_declared_dg_hz_regulation1 = Not Applicable
Step 3a: For below attributes, make sure that all values are consistent with the variation family and accurate. Watch out for duplicate colors and incorrect sizes.
Step 3b: Change SKUs of orphaned color to “ASIN” and “Update”. Make sure price is present.
Required Attributes: feed_product_type, brand_name, item_type, color_name, color_map, department_name, size_name, size_map
Variation: ALL
Basic: update_delete, manufacturer
Product Enrichment: subject_character, special_size_type
Compliance: fabric_type
Offer: condition_type
Step 4: Upload to Amazon (if there are multiple colors on the template, isolate orphaned color into new, temporary sheet with parent for upload). Save on desktop and delete when no longer relevant.
Step 5: Once processed, check if fixed.
Fixed- Open Amz Issues, mark column A in green, explain how you fixed, add Batch ID.
Not fixed: Open original template, delete parent SKU and assign new one
Still not fixed: Contact Amazon with Batch ID*. Open Amz issues, mark column A in orange, explain that update was unsuccessful, add Batch ID, add Case ID. Follow-up on case while updating Amz sheet.
*Hello, the below child ASINs are orphaned from parent ASIN #. Please see Batch ID # in which I attempted to link the ASIN(s) to the parent but was unsuccessful. Thank you.
